With the summer season now on us, a lot of us are wanting to find good locations to run away to for a break. Would you like to vacation in a bed and breakfast that is getting countrywide identification for being the top in the west? This walla walla bed and breakfast is merely about twenty or so minutes away from the Tri-Cities near Touchet.

Driving out in the direction of Touchet along state highway 12 all you can see is a handful of tumbleweeds and hills. Just how could there be a magnificent mansion in the area?

As soon as you turn off of the highway between mile marker 312 and 313 and go to the valley for about a mile you are going to spot it. It's the Cameo Heights Mansion, surrounded by a four hundred acre orchard and vineyard.

The actual managers, Alan and Deanne Fielding, obtained the land a couple of years ago with the goal of being growers, but unexpectedly made a decision that they were going to move there along with their children.

"Originally when we started off this was supposed to end up being our family house, however funds grew to be restricted and the building was stopped and then we never looked at the residence again for approximately 10 years," explains Alan. It wasn't till their children finished growing up and moved out that they got the thought to make a b&b from the not finished home.

"We researched transforming it into a bed & breakfast. We've got a flare for hosting and my spouse is a wonderful chef and hostess. We owned an incredible home that would potentially become a fantastic retreat for spouses," states Alan.

Soon after redesigning the plans for the home they opened up the mansion two years ago, of all of the bed and breakfast walla walla offers, Cameo Heights is appearing to be the best of them all. Couples can decide to reside in one of seven unique suites that are globally appointed. Guests can also enjoy a movie theater in the basement and the luxurious pool and spa outside.

It was the comforts at the mansion and the pampering that contributed to their "Best in the West" accolade from BedandBreakfast.com. Of all the walla walla resorts, they're the first to receive such an honor. The notice arrived in the post and captured the Fieldings by shock.

"Actually, at first I had to make certain my better half did not throw it away because it could've been perceived as unsolicited junk mail! Then I started reading it and stated hold on a minute let me look over this notice for a second time, this is actually considerable! And then we got on the website and was like amazing we really are on the honor list!," explains the Fieldings.
