What To Look For With The New 3D TVs Technology

3D is nothing new, movie goers in the 1950s enjoyed scenes and characters leaping off the screen right at them. This kind of movie faded in and out of style over the decades, but new technology is taking the 3D movie off the big screen and bringing it to a television set near you. With new active glasses, 3D TVs are becoming available so you can enjoy that same experience in the comfort of your home if you look at the offerings and decide to buy 3D TVs.

Video games are taken to a whole new level with 3D introduced. You’ll be able to jump right into the game with the scenery and characters surrounding you as you play. As you battle the deadly zombies or jump high on the rooftops on a skateboard, you’ll be alongside your character as if you were truly in the game.

Movie fans will be immersed right into their favorite film on a 3D DVD. They can expect to be dragged into the storyline as the scenes of the film and actors are all around them. The new 3D glasses create a clearer image with quality colors because they are liquid crystal lenses that are more in sync with the TV, unlike the older red and blue glasses that made the film a bit distorted when wore. This makes the movie experience more intense.

Some of the TVs will convert 2D programs to 3D, so you can basically watch everything in 3D. But the technology is still in its infancy stage and may take another generation or two in order to be as good as made-for-screen 3D. Demos are around that show this process and although reported to work fine, they could stand for some improvement to truly live up to 3D standards.

The one thing all the 3D TVs models will have in common though is that they will offer 2D TV also. The 2D content will be displayed in as good of quality as a regular 2D TV. This is actually needed for when there are health issues that prevent one from watching 3D and if the glasses that go with it are out of battery.

This new technology does come with a warning. Children and teenagers are advised that they could be susceptible to health issues by watching 3D. Pregnant women and the elderly with health conditions, as well as anyone overly tired should avoid 3D altogether. And, the biggest concern is drinking alcohol while watching 3D television, which puts a damper on those who enjoy drinking while watching sports.

There are many advantages as well as disadvantages. Among those the great experience of immersing yourself in game or movie with a pair of a bit more stylish glasses than before. But cost, health issues, and lifestyle all will play a part in the decision. Deciding if you are ready or not for the new 3D TVs will play a major part in their attractiveness and their necessity in your home.
