So around everyone that you’ve talked to are raving about the latest softwares in the market i.e. Internet TV softwares that make it possible for you to watch tons of satellite TV on your PC. However, before you jump onto the bandwagon, please consider some important considerations. The Satellite TV on PC software is not for you if you belong to the following category of person(s):-
1. You Stay in a Rural Area that does not have Good Internet Connection
As a good internet connection (cable or broadband) is one of the key necessity for a smooth and high quality running of the Internet TV software, you should not even consider the idea of watching Satellite TV channels on your computer if your geographical territory is devoid of such Internet connections. Nevertheless, running your software on normal dial up is still technically possible, although you may encounter rough, malformed and interruptive results which will greatly upset and distress you. This is not recommended.
2. You Do Nothave a Computer with the Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirement for the Internet TV software to run smoothly is a PC with a minimum Pentium 3 CPU with processing speed greater than 333 MHz. Your PC also need to contain operating systems like Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000 or XP. That is practically all Windows Operating Systems (OS). In the event that your computer do not possess such requirements and you have no intention and no financial ability to improve it, then this whole concept of watching Satellite TV on the PC is just not for you.
3. You have already installed Hardwares and are Incurring Recurring Fees for your Satellite or cable TV
So you have already installed the satellite dish, routers, cables, machines etc. in your house and are presently paying a monthly subscription fees for your Satellite or Cable TV. While you are just one step too late. You could have saved tons of money on the expensive equipments and monthly fees. However, if you are so loaded and do not mind paying extra, then this isn’t much of a consideration to you in the first place.
4. You are a Couch Potato
You love your brand new couch and simply adore the idea of watching Satellite TV right in front of your TV set. You have no desire nor the need to enjoy thousands of fantastic TV channels worldwide, anywhere and at anytime. You hate the idea of watching TV from the Computer Monitor. So the conclusion is Internet TV is not for you.
5. You Adore TV Advertisements
You are the prodigious one who enjoys commercials! Since online commercials only last about 30 seconds each with each show having no more than 5 commercials, you’ll be greatly thwarted. That’s a lot of difference from the normal TV screenings which flash commercials unceasingly for 10 minutes each time and at the interval of 30 minutes between commercials.
So think carefully to decide if you are the kind of person described above. If indeed so then please don’t waste your money and effort on the Internet TV softwares, which are not suitable for you.

Sorry mate. If you are still using IE6 you really should upgrade. I can understand if you are in a corporate environment you may not be able to but IE6 support is being dropped from many CMS scripts. Besides Firefox or Chrome are a much better option and IE9 is pretty good also these days.
